This is a staple cocktail sweetener consisting of equal-parts granulated sugar and water. From there, the variations are endless. Give your cocktails an extra bit of ‘oomph’ with an infused simple syrup.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of granulated white sugar
1/2 cup of water
Infusion options: - 1/2 jalepeno - Splash of vanilla extract or vanilla bean - Cinnamon stick - 2 Rosemary sprigs - Knob of fresh ginger - Anything else your heart desires

Sauce pan
Method
Add sugar, water and chosen infusion ingredient to a small saucepan (over medium heat)
Stir until the sugar is totally dissolved
Let it cool in the pan then pour it into a glass jar (including your infusion ingredient) and seal it tightly with a lid
*Simply syrup will keep for about one month if refrigerated
